Information ADMADAN handles
ADMADAN processes account information you provide, saved preferences and favorites, correction reports, and coarse or user-selected location information used to show nearby businesses. Precise browser location is used only when you grant permission and is not retained in browser storage or your account profile.
Daily visitor count
When the daily counter is enabled, ADMADAN assigns a random browser token that changes each Detroit-local calendar day. The server stores only a one-way hash, uses it to count a browser once per day, and deletes those private hashes after 45 days. The public home page receives only the aggregate count, not individual visitor records.
Correction reports
When correction intake is available, reports can be submitted without an account. ADMADAN stores the report, optional reply email and public evidence link, decisions, and a public-safe audit history. Do not include sensitive personal information in public-facing correction reports.
External directory providers and maps
Google-derived directory display and live-detail requests are currently disabled. The independently gated map can use OpenStreetMap tiles and sends requested tile coordinates to that provider only when the map is enabled. The canonical directory remains usable without a map or precise location.
Notes dictation
Notes starts voice dictation when you open the tab, subject to microphone permission. The microphone button stops or starts listening, and the keyboard button switches to typing. Your browser or device speech service turns your voice into text. That service may process audio online. ADMADAN saves the note text in your account and does not save a voice recording.
Contact videos and YouTube
Camera and microphone access for video is requested when you choose Take Video. New contact videos stay in this browser on this device until you choose Save on YouTube. Clearing browser data or automatic browser storage cleanup can remove videos that have not been uploaded. Save on YouTube sends the selected video and its title to the YouTube channel you connect. This browser remembers uploads you request, so interrupted uploads can resume while ADMADAN is open and you are signed in to the same ADMADAN account and YouTube channel. After reopening the browser, reconnect YouTube to resume. Opening or playing a recording does not request an upload. Uploads are currently private. After YouTube processing and saving the contact link are verified, ADMADAN removes its temporary local video copy. Files you selected from your device’s gallery are not deleted. Removing a video from a contact does not delete it from YouTube.
ADMADAN uses YouTube API Services. Google provides your account email and channel information to identify the connected account. Access tokens are kept in memory for the current page session, not saved as passwords. Disconnecting YouTube cancels pending upload requests in this browser and keeps unfinished local recordings. You can disconnect using the YouTube controls, revoke access through Google account permissions, and manage or delete uploaded videos in YouTube Studio. Use of YouTube features is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
Service providers and security
ADMADAN uses service providers such as Supabase and Netlify to host the directory, authenticate users, and deliver the website. Access controls, server-only credentials, and row-level security are used to limit access to private data.
Your choices
You can decline browser location access, choose a location manually, and remove saved favorites or account information through the available account controls. When correction intake is open, anyone can report a factual, duplicate, closure, source-conflict, or privacy issue without claiming a listing.
